Thursday, November 17, 2016 – Day 1

       * 8a-5:30p – Mississippi Farm to Cafeteria Conference (Lunch Included) w/ Keynote Chef Ann Cooper 

       * 5:30-6:30p – Networking Reception

       * 6:30-8p – MFPC Food and Agricultural Policy Town Hall Forum w/ Ken Meter

       * 8-9p – Film Screening & Discussion of “Food Chains

       * 9a-2p – Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum Small Town Harvest Fest

Friday, November 18, 2016 – Day 2

* 8a-8p – Farmer to Farmer Conference (Taste of Mississippi Dinner Included) w/ Keynotes Dr. Ricardo Salvador & Dr. Tyrone Hayes

       * 8a-8p – Vendor Fair & Seed Swap

       * 6-8p – Taste of Mississippi Dinner

       * 8-10p – NYFC Young Farmer Mixer (w/ Live Music and Drinks)

       * 9a-2p – Mississippi Agriculture & Forestry Museum Small Town Harvest Fest

Note: Both Thursday and Friday include the Common Ground Youth Sessions – free for all students!

Saturday, November 19, 2016 –  Day 3

       * 8a-12p – Mississippi Farmers Market @ 929 High Street Jackson, MS

       * 8a-4p – Co-op-A-Doodle-Do @ Corner of Valley & Clinton Ave Jackson, MS (Includes Lunch)

       * 12-1:30p – Boycott Wendy’s March for Farmworker Justice from 929 to 1240 High Street Jackson, MS

       * 1-3p – School & Community Garden Tours

       * 3-5p – Local Farm Tours

harvest festThe Mississippi Food Summit & Agricultural Revival is a partnership between the Mississippi Sustainable Agriculture Network and the Mississippi Farm to School Network. It is held in conjunction with the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum’s annual Harvest Fest on Thursday and Friday. Harvest Fest includes: Demonstrations of the Bisland Cotton Gin, Cane Mill, Saw Mill, and Blacksmithing; Complimentary Biscuit & Syrup; Tour of the Heritage Center Gallery; Explore Small Town, MS; Live Music; Train and Hay Rides; Carousel Rides. Visit their website for more information.
