Healthy, local, and sustainable agriculture systems cannot thrive unless they are supported by public policies that reflect our priorities at the local, state, and federal governments.
If you value sustainable agriculture, we urge you to let your representatives know!

The Mississippi Food Policy Council
The Mississippi Food Policy Council provides the arena for open discussion of agricultural policies and issues that affect the state. It aims to help shape food policy in the state with the interests and concerns of Mississippi farmers, distributors, and eaters in mind. Click here to learn more about the MFPC
Check out “An Overview of the Mississippi Food & Farm Economy“, a state-wide local food system assessment conducted in 2014.
Interested in beginning your own local or regional food policy council? Contact the Mississippi Food Policy Council or MSAN at email@example.com for more guidance, and explore the resources below.
Annual Farmer Drive-In at the Mississippi State Capitol
The purpose of the drive-in is to give farmers from across the state the opportunity to discuss their needs as well as the needs of other farmers in their county with their legislators. Through connecting farmers directly with their district Senators and Representatives, it is our hope that relationships are built that will help us collectively grow the local food system in Mississippi for years to come.
Are you a farmer interested in participating in future Farmer Drive-Ins? Contact MSAN at firstname.lastname@example.org.
