2014 Mississippi Food Summit

In 2014, MSAN organized the second annual Mississippi Food Summit. Taking place in Jackson on November 7-9, workshops and round table discussions addressed important food issues across the state. An immense variety of people were all involved in discussions of permaculture, local food distribution, and sustainable agriculture. Richard McCarthy, executive director of Slow Food USA, and John Ikerd, Professor Emeritus of Agricultural Economics at the University of Missouri-Columbia presented keynote addresses.
